Wool Carpet & Rug Cleaning

Wool is the fibre most New Zealand homes were built on, and the one most often damaged by the wrong cleaning. It is a protein fibre — closer to hair than to the plastics in synthetic carpet — and the alkaline detergents that clean synthetics perfectly well will yellow and weaken wool over time.

We clean wool with pH-appropriate products and carefully controlled moisture. Our powerhead attachment does the heavy extraction and we run extra dry passes over wool, so the carpet leaves damp rather than wet and dries the same day instead of sitting soaked for two.

We test colourfastness in a hidden spot before anything touches the visible pile, and we work with the pile rather than beating it — which matters on long-pile and loop wool.

Wool broadloom, wool blends, loop and Berber, wool rugs with pick-up and delivery, stair runners and wool upholstery.

Same simple pricing as everything else. No wool surcharge, and a fixed quote before we start.
